Configuring personal preferences

ProjectForce allows each user to configure some personal preferences that alter the way ProjectForce works. The preferences that you can configure depend on your access level. Users with less than the Admin access level are able to configure the most popular preferences.

To configure personal preferences:

On the Tools menu, click Popular Preferences. The Preference Configuration dialog box appears, similar to the following figure.

Configure the options in this dialog using the descriptions in the following table.
Click OK to save your configuration changes. Click Reset to reset the options to their default configuration. Click Cancel to abort configuring preferences.

Popular Preferences options
Option	Description
Show ActionGrid on Checkout	Displays the CheckOut Wizard when you run the Check Out command. Allows you to confirm the check-out folder, file name, external references, and actions before checking out the selected documents.
Show ActionGrid on Copyout	Displays the CopyDocument Wizard when you run the Copy Out command. Allows you to confirm the copy-out folder, file name, external references, and actions before copying out the selected documents.
Show ActionGrid on Checkin	Displays the CheckIn Wizard when you run the Check In command. Allows you to modify document and version properties, and confirm external references and actions before checking out the selected documents.
Maximum number of search results	Limits the number of documents listed in search results.
Show “keep local” on Import	Displays the Keep local copy option in the Import Wizard.
Show “keep local” on Checkin	Displays the Keep local copy option in the CheckIn Wizard.
Checkout folder	Specifies the folder where checked-out documents will be saved.
Copyout folder	Specifies the folder where copied-out documents will be saved.
